How to Open Yourself to Your Life's Purpose
In A New Earth, Eckhart Tolle writes that to awaken to your life's purpose, you have be ready for a change in the state of your consciousness. But how do you know when that time comes? And where can you even begin?
The one big question most of us ask ourselves is "What should I do with my life?" For most people, it's very difficult to answer. Use these simple suggestions from people who have successfully answered this question and are now living the lives of their dreams. Be inspired to pursue your dreams and discover the impact you are meant to have on the world!
1. Listen to your inner voice. It takes practice to hear your true desires. Your passion will often come as a whisper or serendipitous event that reminds you of what's important and what makes you happy.
This is similar to what is meant by trusting your gut or listening to your intuition. Award-winning actress Sissy Spacek has attributed her success to an experience she had as a young girl, attending a student performance at a neighboring school. Upon seeing a group of girls dancing on the stage, twirling batons and marching in line, Sissy thought to herself, "I could do that."
"Everyone has an inner voice; you just have to listen to it and trust it in order to be led by it," Sissy says. "I did that, and it gave me the ability to live a life that's true to who I am and what I really wanted."
Can you recognize what makes you happy?
2. Recognize crisis. Does your job feel like a grind? Are you spending your free time on something you love? Take an opportunity to appraise your happiness. One of the keys to living a purposeful life is recognizing when you are unfulfilled.
Debrena Jackson Gandy, an author and success coach, recommends women ask themselves one question: What brings you joy? Often, participants at her lectures are unable to find the answer because the joy has been displaced by work, family and day-to-day demands. Debrena recommends that people set aside a half hour to write out at least three things that have brought them joy, and be specific. After a few days, she challenges people to ask themselves what is keeping them from joy and to identify ways to invest in that happiness and make small but immediate changes.
Let your passion be your guide!
3. Dwell in possibilities. Your passions could lead you in a lot of different directions to find fulfillment. Explore your life and unearth of the things that bring you joy.
To begin, life coach Cheryl Richardson advises you to take better care of yourself. Cheryl suggests nurturing your body and mind with exercise, meditation and eating well. Next, be conscious when something excites you or frustrates you. For example, if you read a story in the newspaper that inspires you, take note of it! That story might lead you to your passion.
Cheryl recommends answering a series of questions:
What interest, passion or desire are you most afraid of admitting to yourself and others?
What do you love about yourself?
Who do you know that's doing something you'd like to do? Describe yourself doing it.
How could you make the world a better place for yourself and others?
What's stopping you from moving forward with exploring your passion?
Trust yourself to make the right decisions.
4. Tune out the voice of the world. Make the strongest voice in your life your own. Finding your purpose could mean going against the advice of close friends and family. Take a leap of faith and trust in your dreams.
Martha Beck calls this the "trust-o-meter," the voice inside of you that has been with you since you were born but is programmed by outside influences. If your own trust-o-meter isn't working as it should, Martha advises taking The Trust Test to check if you trust the voice inside you.
What kind of person do you want to be?
5. Decide what kind of person you want to be. Rather than concentrating on what you want to do, think in terms of what kind of person you want to be. Let that guide your choices.
"Life isn't just about what you can have; it's about what you have to give," Oprah says. "What kind of person do you want to be?"
Living with integrity is a good start. Cheryl Richardson suggests making an Absolute Integrity List, which includes making three promises to yourself to restore your integrity. Next, construct your own vision statement to clarify what's most important to you and the person you most want to become. The third step is to ask yourself in which aspects of your life you could be more truthful.
Find a profession you love!
6. Bring your heart to your work. It takes passion and courage to find a profession that you love. Spending the time to discover that job is time well spent—it could make all the difference in your life!
If you don't think you're in the job you were born to do, there's no time like the present. Read eight true stories from women who switched careers midstream and found their wildest dreams realized. Plus, Tamara Monosoff, author of Secrets of Millionaire Moms, shares three, one-page business plans to help bring your big ideas to life.
Even if you're stymied about where to start, there's still hope! Master career consultant Marcus Buckingham has created a printable worksheet for you to use to identify your strengths and help you find meaning in your work.
Embrace change.
7. Trust transformation. Hard times are a natural part of life. Don't be afraid to change because of your experiences. Instead, let them shape and steer your course.
Hardship goes hand in hand with tough times. Instead of ignoring difficult times, embrace them. Poet Nikki Giovanni tells the story of having been pulled over by a state trooper after having gotten herself and a friend lost on the drive to Princeton, New Jersey. She was certain she would be ticketed, but the trooper instead gave her directions and sent the two women on their way. "I realized that when the trooper looked into the car, he didn't see what we thought he saw—two hip, young women going someplace," Nikki says. "He saw his grandmother. It was a depressing moment."
Nikki says that too many people resist change, which never lets them enjoy who they are.
"Embrace the change, no matter what it is; once you do, you can learn about the new world you're in and take advantage of it," she says. "You still bring to bear all your prior experience, but you're riding on another level. It's completely liberating."
Live without regret.
8. Have no regrets. According to the experts, it's easy to regret the time you've spent being unhappy or unfulfilled. Realize that during that time you developed the skills you need to succeed!
Martha Beck has six steps you can take to live without regret. They include letting go, learning to compartmentalize certain feelings and reclaiming your dreams. As important as these steps are, Martha suggests thinking of regret as a tool, rather than an uncomfortable reminder of past mistakes.
"If you've grieved your losses, reclaimed your dreams and articulated your anger, regret will have made you the right kind of tough-and-tender: dauntless of spirit, soft of heart, convinced by experience that nothing based on fear—but everything based on love—is worth doing," she says. "Living this way doesn't guarantee an easy life; in fact, it will probably take you on a wondrously wild ride. But I promise, you won't regret it."
Take the first step now!
9. Take the first step. Destiny can't help you until you are willing to step out of your comfort zone. Get prepared to make changes in your life…and start making them!
It takes courage to even think about changing your life, much less to put that plan into action. Dr. Robert Holden has dedicated his life to studying the pursuit of happiness. He says most people struggle to overcome "destination addiction," which he defines as not living in the moment.
Try taking Dr. Holden's Happiness Test for suggestions on where to make the first step in your life.
Exercise patience.
10. Be patient. Finding your life's purpose won't happen overnight. In every life, there's a fast road and a slow road. Most of us take the slow road! Keep your commitment and take small steps to make it happen.
Writer Amy Gross offers four ways to become a more patient person:
1. First thing: Just stop. Catch the mind ranting that you shouldn't be in this situation—because you are. Give up the fight. You've lost the battle, but not the war.
2. Settle into the moment. You might feel your body ease down, yielding to gravity (wise move). Your shoulders and belly relax, your jaw too.
3. Go into your body with your mind's eye and find out how you know you're impatient. Are you tight, tense, breathing shallowly, clenching, jiggling? Where exactly? Focus on those sensations as closely as you can. Touch them with your mind.
4. See if you can open any tightness, breathe into any clenching. With a really ornery knot, give up trying to fix it and see if you can welcome it, make room for it.

Live Your Passion
Live Your Passion
By Sandra Magsamen
Artist Sandra Magsamen knows firsthand what it takes to make your passion your life's work. Her handmade pottery has become a multimillion-dollar gift business and has expanded to include home décor, jewelry, bedding, greeting cards and more. She shares insight on how to live your passion.
There are no big secrets to making your dreams come true and doing what you're passionate about. But there are three ingredients found in every dream realized. They are:
The belief in yourself and in your dream
A heaping dose of passion and imagination
A lot of hard work
Take the following steps toward pursuing what your are passionate about:
Step 1: Identify your passion
Step 2: Create a mission statement
Step 3: Write a step-by-step plan to achieve your mission statement
Step 4: Put your plan into action
Step 1: Identify Your Passion
First you must articulate and identify what you are passionate about. Dream what it is that you want to do, to have, to give, to be. You must fully believe in this passion. I know this sounds like a no-brainer, but you would be surprised by how many people write me and say they dream to have a pottery business. And when I ask for more details like What kind of pottery? What does it look like? Where will they sell it? What makes it uniquely theirs? they have no idea. They have not dreamed their dream.
It is key to visualize, see, define, redefine and be specific about your passion. Use your imagination and dream, dream, dream. Create a dream journal, and fill it with as many details and specifics about your passion as you can. Don't worry if you don't yet know what your passions may be. As you create your journal, your true passion will begin to reveal itself.
Ask yourself these questions and answer in long lists:
What do I love?
What are my dreams?
If I could do anything, what would I do?
What matters to me?
What do I believe in?
What brings me joy?
What do I find beautiful?
Who am I?
How do I want to spend my day?
Where do I want to live?
Who do I want to be around?
Get to know yourself, honor yourself, nurture yourself. Themes will begin to appear, and your passion will emerge feeling respected and cared for if you take the time to befriend it.
Make jewelry if you want to be a jewelry designer. Find tons of pictures or sketch what you think is beautiful.
Cut images from a magazine if you want to build your dream house and make a book filled with what your house will look like.
Make cakes, decorate them and eat them if you want to be a wedding cake designer. Find, create and save recipes, and photograph every cake you make
Write poems if you want to be a poet. Dream where you want to publish, what the cover of your first book looks like and see yourself at the book signing.
If you want to start a nonprofit for children, then do work with children and discover what work you really want to do.
Use your imagination to create a dream that honors you, your beliefs, desires and wishes for your life.
Create a mission statement
Step 2: Create a Mission Statement
Don't worry, your mission statement can change as your dream or passion changes and grows. This is not set in stone—you can revise the plan again and again until that dream becomes a reality.
Creating your dream is a journey that could take a day, a week, a month, a year or a lifetime. Once you are clear about what you want to accomplish, writing a mission statement will help you define, articulate and solidify your ambition and passion.
My dream statement reads: "My dream is very simple—to create products and share ideas that celebrate the people and moments that make life a gift."
Actually sit down and write and rewrite a mission statement until it reflects what is in your heart. This activity will be both fun and challenging. Take your time in getting your statement to really reflect what's in your heart. This activity will urge you to be specific and to define your dream.
Write a step-by-step plan
Step 3: Write a Step-by-Step Plan
Get creative and put your own spin on the work. Use your imagination and make this your own. Have fun, explore and embrace the infinite ways there are to make your passion into a reality.
I wanted to make and sell things that touched peoples' lives and hearts. So I had to first…
Learn to make pottery well.
Create and design a look that was uniquely my own and make a collection to offer.
Look for retail outlets and learn how craft and wholesale shows worked.
Learn enough about business to get into my first show.
If you need to learn a skill or understand a business model, take a class, borrow a book from the library or become an intern with a master.
Research the area of your dream as much as possible. There is an old saying that I repeat to myself during times of research and preparation: "Fail to prepare, prepare to fail." This little phrase reminds me to do the work I need to do to move my dream forward.
Put your plan into action
Step 4: Put Your Plan Into Action
This is where the hard work comes in. You must work through your plan. Along the way, you will be learning, gaining knowledge, reaching out to mentors when needed and following through on the plan.
The one thing I know for sure is that as you work and grow, so will your plan. Often, people make the mistake of thinking they have to quit their job, change their life and start again to make their dream come true.
My advice is to take your plan and break it up in small steps. Do what you can each day, but use time mindfully so that it feels joyful, not rushed or stressed.
When I created my pottery business, I worked in the evenings and weekends while keeping my full-time job for years. Once I was confident that my dream plans were working, I was then, without stress, able to move to my dream job full time.
Your dream will take you places you never imagine once it takes flight. I never dreamt of the opportunities and people I would meet along the way that have given my dream the breath, beauty and life that it possesses today.

Tips to Take to Heart
A few things to take to heart along your dream journey:
Your dream matters! We need dreamers and dreams that will make this world a better place. Take it seriously, nurture it, believe in it and yourself.
Give yourself permission to be you. Stop censoring your actions. Be you—the only you there is.
Remember, only you can be yourself. No one else is qualified for the job. Ask yourself: If you don't manifest your dream, who will?
Have fun, have a sense of humor and have a million laughs.
Be an optimist. Embrace a positive attitude because, as Henry Ford said, "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you are probably right."
Embrace your inner child. Do something new, exciting and different. Look at life from a different point of view. Get curious, ask a trillion questions and experience the joy in looking for the answers.
Make new friends and cherish the old (some are silver and the others are gold). Make and build relationships along the way that are supportive and helpful as you reach toward your goals.
Let creativity help you solve problems, face challenges and become a part of the fabric of your daily life.

BEgin today: Every day is an opportunity to dream, to learn something or discover something or someplace new.
BE curious: Play, go out on a limb, walk a new way to work, try a new food at dinner and keep learning and growing.
BEdazzle with your smile and laughter. Laughter is an instant vacation. Have fun, play and enjoy life. Fill the room with sunshine and that beautiful smile, and remember a smile is a little curve that straightens everything out.

BEcome what you dream to be. Set goals, identify what matters, focus on where you want to go and go there. You are in the driver's seat—you are not the passenger when it comes to following your dreams. You are in charge, so take a detour, take the back roads, get lost or decide your dream has changed. Just be sure you stay on the dream journey.

Are you hindering the Law of Attraction?
Ten Ways We Hinder the Law of Attraction
by Wendy Betterini
"Why isn't the Law of Attraction working for me?" This cry of
frustration is uttered often by people who are learning to
consciously create better lives using the Law of Attraction. After
spending weeks trying to raise their vibration, focus their minds
and bring forth a better reality, they can't understand why they're
not seeing results. Or sometimes they'll see small results which
gives them incentive to keep going, but they still don't see
improvement where it REALLY counts.
Does this describe you? Have you raised your eyes to the heavens
and demanded to know why the Law of Attraction isn't working for
you? Or perhaps you've resigned yourself to one of these deadly
beliefs:
"It seems to work for other people, but I just can't get it right."
"I must be doomed to failure."
"I knew it wouldn't work, but at least I tried."
"I'm such an idiot; why do I keep getting sucked into these
ridiculous schemes?"
"God must really hate me."
Well, wipe those destructive thoughts right out of your mind!
Seriously, they won't serve you a bit, though I can understand why
you're tempted to believe them - I've been there too!
Here's the good news: the Law of Attraction IS working for you. It
works all the time, every time, without exception. If you're not
seeing the results you want, the time has come to ask yourself what
you're putting out there that is attracting similar energy back
into your life.
Before you get angry at me for telling you you're "doing it wrong,"
please understand that you're probably NOT doing it wrong - but
there may be one or two things you're doing that are creating
resistance, which slows down your results.
Skim down this list of the most common ways we hinder the Law of
Attraction from delivering what we want, and compare them carefully
with your own habitual thoughts and feelings:
INDECISION
Do you have a clear vision of exactly what you want? Perhaps you
aren't picky, you just want things to be "better" than they are
now, whatever that ends up looking like. However, the Universe
doesn't want you to settle for "something good," but instead
attract EXACTLY what you desire!
What do you desire? Take some time to think about the facets of
your life. Think about your job, financial status, relationships,
health, body size, vehicle, residence, and more. Are all of these
things an accurate reflection of what you would create if you could
start over? Make a detailed list of EXACTLY what you want to create
for yourself. Write down every tiny aspect you can think of. Then
read this list frequently to keep your vision sharp and clear in
your mind.
UNWORTHINESS
Do you REALLY believe you deserve the things on your list? What
makes you so special that you deserve abundant health, wealth and
happiness? That's not a rhetorical question. I'm really asking,
what makes you so special? Don't have an answer? How about this:
you exist. Someone breathed you into existence and infused you with
all these desires, and for what? Why would your desires exist if
you weren't meant to experience them?
Until you can understand just how special and unique you truly are,
you might resist the abundance and joy the Universe is offering
you. Perhaps you feel guilty that others are struggling, so you
keep yourself at a lower level so you don't make them feel bad.
However, holding yourself back doesn't serve them, or you. Embrace
your true worth as a human being and let it be a shining example
for all to see. Empower others (and yourself) with the knowledge
that they too can create better lives.
DISTRUST
Some of us have a skewed view of the Universe (or God, if that term
resonates with you). From an early age, we're taught that we have
to comply with certain guidelines and behavioral rules - or else.
We see the Universe as some angry force that will deliver a wrath
of misery upon us if we do something wrong. It's no surprise that
most of us end up feeling like we're walking on eggshells. We
actually EXPECT bad things to happen because we've developed such a
negative view of the powers that be. We're afraid to ask for what
we really want because we might be viewed as greedy, ungrateful or
selfish. We're afraid to hope for something better because we might
get a lightning bolt up the wazoo.
How about turning this belief around? We can just as easily believe
in a loving Universe, one that wants us to do well, be happy, and
feel abundant. Rather than approaching the Universe with the
mind-set of a scolded child, why not step forward confidently and
joyfully and claim ownership of what is already yours? Believe me,
the Universe will applaud you for doing so, and reward you beyond
your wildest dreams.
DOUBT
Even if you WANT to believe that the Law of Attraction really
works, you might be holding back somewhat to protect yourself from
disappointment. If you don't give it your "all," you think it won't
hurt so badly when it doesn't work out. However, doubt is like a
big old rubber doorstop that prevents the gateway of prosperity
from opening. You affirm, you visualize, you get clear, and the
gate begins to swing inward, creating a crack through which
shimmering golden light shines forth. You begin to step forward
into your glorious new reality, when "bump!," -- oops, never mind,
there's a doorstop there and the gap isn't big enough to let you
through. Oh well, better luck next time.
Think of FAITH as the oil that keeps the hinges on the gates of
prosperity operating smoothly. If you keep the hinges lubricated
and the gates free of any obstructions (doubts) - they will swing
right open and you'll be dazzled by what you see on the other side.
DISBELIEF
No matter how badly you want something, if you don't believe it's
possible, you will resist it. Perhaps you've set some lofty goals
for yourself, things that almost seem too good to be true. Perhaps
you want to be a millionaire, but you're currently earning $15,000
per year. Or you want to meet your soulmate, but you long ago
convinced yourself that he or she doesn't exist. Turning these
negative beliefs around is CRUCIAL to attracting your desires!
For every limiting belief you hold, I want you to take a blank
sheet of paper and come up with ten reasons why your desires are
POSSIBLE. It's important to make the reasons believable and
logical. For example, "It's possible for me to become a millionaire
because other people have done it, and some of them started with
less than what I have now!" Or, "It's possible that my soulmate
exists because I simply haven't met every person on the planet yet.
He or she might be searching for me even as I search for him/her!"
Keep repeating these reasons to yourself, until you are absolutely
CONVINCED that your desires are indeed possible. It may take time,
and it will certainly take lots of repetition, but the stronger
your belief is, the more likely you are to attract the end result
you desire.
DUALITY
Do your day-to-day thoughts, feelings, and actions paint a very
different picture than the affirmations and visualizations you
project? Are you affirming your financial prosperity while at the
same time worrying about your bills? Both realities CANNOT co-exist
in your life. Either you're prosperous, or you're not. Either
you're successful, or you're not. Either you're healthy, or you're
besieged by aches and pains.
At every possible moment, you need to let go of your old reality -
even if it means pretending that the symptoms of lack, struggle,
and illness do not exist. At the very beginning, it will be a
challenge to do this fully, but if you keep at it day after day,
repeatedly turning your attention to thoughts of wellness,
abundance, and joy, and focusing less on lack, struggle, and
illness, you begin to shift your reality to what you focus on the
most.
FEAR
Perhaps you're claiming to want something better, but you also fear
it on a deeper level. If you want to be a best-selling author but
you fear publicity and fame, guess what happens? You resist the
formation of such a reality in your life because it makes you
uncomfortable. If you want to be financially abundant but you worry
about what others would think of you, resistance is woven
throughout your desire for more money. In effect, you're asking for
something but also pushing it away at the same time.
One good way to overcome these fears is by facing them on paper.
Ask yourself how you would handle people who thought poorly of you
for being wealthy. "I'd tell them to mind their own business,"
might be one response, or "Their opinions of me don't affect my
life one way or the other" would work nicely also. If you get clear
about your fears, you'll realize that most of them are irrational
or irrelevant. Even the ones that hold merit, however, can be
worked through and your resistance will dissolve in the light of
clarity and purpose.
FORCE
You watched the movie, "The Secret," or read a great book about the
Law of Attraction, and now you're all fired up! You're SO
DETERMINED to change your life that you proceed full steam ahead.
You begin religiously reciting affirmations and performing
meditations and visualizations and feeling good at every possible
opportunity. After a week or two nothing has happened, so you
increase the intensity of your efforts. You start meditating not
just for 15 minutes a day, but for two hours a day. Your
affirmations become a litany of desperation to make something
happen. Still no results, so you work harder, and harder, and
HARDER at it - until finally you scream in frustration, utterly
exhausted from trying so hard.
Lighten up! I know, that's easier said than done when you're not
happy with your current reality. But seriously, the harder you
"try," the worse it's going to get. Back off, relax, and just let
it happen when it's going to happen. The more relaxed and joyful
you can be about the process, the more quickly your desires will
come forth. Read more about the process of "allowing," and learn
how to BE what you're trying to attract. It's a much simpler way to
activate the Law of Attraction, and everything will just FLOW
smoothly and easily. No force required. Really.
FRUSTRATION
Speaking of frustration - it's yet another way we hinder the Law of
Attraction. When we feel frustrated, we emit an unmistakable signal
to the Universe that acts as a beacon to attract more situations to
be frustrated about!
Remember the importance of FEELING GOOD! Why is it so important?
Because of the signal it puts out to the Universe. The more you
feel good, the more you attract situations and experiences that
will help you to feel good. I know it's challenging to feel good
when things aren't going the way you want, but it's so important to
do so anyway! I don't care if you have to slink off to a private
place to be alone with your thoughts, or sit in a movie theater to
watch a comedy, or go window shopping on your lunch hour. FIND
things that make you feel good, and do them as often as possible.
It is so, so, SO important! If you have a few moments of
frustration here and there, don't sweat it too much, just do what
you can to have MORE moments of feeling good than you do of feeling
frustration. It will make an incredible difference.
And finally, the Number One way we hinder the Law of Attraction:
IMPATIENCE
Most of the people I hear uttering the weary cry above (Why isn't
the Law of Attraction working for me?) haven't been working at it
for long. Perhaps a few weeks, maybe even a few months. Believe me,
I know the feeling of desperation to get things moving in a more
positive direction, but it takes time!
Remember that we're constantly experiencing a RESIDUAL effect of
our PAST thoughts, feelings and beliefs. It's unrealistic (though
understandable) to want to change it all overnight. But it's not
going to happen that quickly most of the time.
Sure, you might see small improvements here and there, which can
make you feel like you're making progress. That's a good thing!
Just don't despair if you seem to be moving in slow motion through
unpleasant circumstances. You're not crazy, you're not doomed to
failure, and you're not a complete idiot. The transition you're
going through is completely normal.
Simply do what you can to stay positive and keep up with the
activities that will attract something better in the future. Be
gentle with yourself, and know that this too shall pass. And in the
very near future, when you really begin to see this force shifting
the circumstances of your reality before your eyes, WOW - you'll be
so glad you stuck with it through the tough spots!
The journey is worth it in the end, believe that.

by Wendy Betterini

Words of advice From an Old Mountain Man
A friend emailed this to me this morning...
Words of advice from an old Tennessee mountain man....
Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.
Keep skunks, and bankers, and lawyers, at a distance.
Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.
A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor.
Words that soak into your ears are whispered... not yelled.
Meanness don't jes' happen overnight.
Forgive your enemies. It messes up their heads.
Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.
It don't take a very big person to carry a grudge.
You cannot unsay a cruel, or unkind word.
Every path has a few puddles.
When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.
The best sermons are lived, not preached.
Most of the stuff people worry about ain't never gonna happen anyway.
Don't judge folks by their relatives.
Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back,
you'll enjoy it a second time.
Don't interfere with somethin' that ain't botherin' you none.
Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.
If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin'.
Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.
The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with,
watches you from the mirror every mornin'.
Always drink upstream from the herd.
Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.
Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin' it back in.
If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence,
try orderin' somebody else's dog around.
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply.
Speak kindly. Leave the rest up to God...

A Rainy Day....
We have all heard the expression, "save it for a rainy day". Well, I am sitting here this rainy day waiting for a seminar to begin. This may sound 'odd', but I enjoy rainy days as they remind me to slow down and enjoy. Most of all they remind me of a ritual my best friend and I had back in the 90's when I was living in New Jersey. On rainy days like this, we would meet at one or the others' house, which usually ended up being her house, as she had a huge collection of old movies. We would make a simple lunch of tuna salad sandwich and a soup, to remind us of the humble beginnings from whence we both came.
Although the meal was simple, it was always served on china or a favorite everyday set of dishes we owned. That was part of the fun as both she and I were collectors of sets of bone china as well as everyday vintage ceramic and stoneware. Always, we would brew a pot of tea. Usually this was an ordinary and inexpensive mutually favorite named Constant Comment, but sometimes we would instead serve Earl Grey. Always, also, we would sit and watch a black-and-white movie.. You know, the classic films featuring timeless movie stars, fabulous fashions, fabulous sets, and great plots. Anyway, the rainy day did not seem so rainy, anymore, and we always ended the visit with more tea and good conversation.
So on this rainy afternoon, I thought it was about time I bring that ritual online. Although it is virtual, we can gather together online to share, laugh, and form new friendships over a good cup of tea. After all, gathering with friends over tea on a rainy day (or any day) is one of life's simple pleasures. Juicy tidbits and golden nuggets of wisdom, smiles, hugs, and more are given and received..These are some of the best things to be shared on a rainy day! :-)
Pull up a chair and grab a cup! It may or may not be pouring rain where you are, but it's pouring friendship and TEA right here!
Sending, bliss, love, and blessings your way,
Denise

Wild Rumors
It is said that the goddess of bliss resides in the Himalayan mountains at Nandi Devi. I can tell you for a fact, that it is no longer true, as she has long departed those mountains and has taken residence in the sprawling urban wilderness of the Wissahickon Woods near Valley Green. Yep, that's right!...That's in Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love and sisterly affection, for those of you who haven't the foggiest idea about where I speak.
Until recently, there were even a few wild rumors floating around. Some speculated she was heading for the Amazon. Others were sure they spotted her heading for the Serengeti Plain. All these rumors proved to be unfounded. however, as she opted instead to settle in the urban jungles of America. After all, it is there she is perhaps needed the most these days!
And how would I be privy to this info? Well, I AM she! Yes, the Bliss Goddess herself in the flesh! :-) Although I have assumed human form in Philadelphia, I am available to all via the internet and telephone. In addition to sending vibes out through cosmic airways, I have decided to blog as many prefer to turn the universal volume down, completely unaware of their connection to Source and to one another.
I have a website in the works too and am coming soon to a social network near you.
My mission is to spread divine bliss throughout the YOUniverse! Why? Because everyone needs their bliss! Besides, I LOVE YOU! Now, that's NOT a wild rumor. It's a fact!
:-)

Bountiful Life via Infinite Source of the Soul,

spreading bliss throughout the YOUniverse since forever
