Ever hear of "The Secret", that film about creating the life you desire through manifestation? Although it's a good resource, I have a problem with it. Boy do they make it seem so easy. They maks it seem as though asll you have to do is wish or think your troubles away. Of course, you are expected to repeat affirmations, set goals and do the physical work too, but still, it seems so simple.
Really, the fact is, no matter how much you try, this will NOT work for you if you have internal blockages and limiting beliefes in your subconcious. Most of us have those blockages and limiting beliefs. Why? Some reasons include culture, family, media, and even past incarnations. The bottom line is to change your life, you must make adjustments to the subconcious. To do that, you must go within.
Inner work = outer results = better life for you
You can't just do anything and expect results, however. The blockages must be cleared. While I'm a believer that anything is possible, it IS possible to clear these on your own. However, it may take quite some time and a series of trials and errors. The more effecient way is with the assistance of someone skilled and knowledgable about these things. Again, It IS possible to do this work alone, but most of us, including myself, have have help, in the form of proven methods and modalities, guides, teachers, priests, coaches, etc.
So, the secret is energy...Everything is energy, including the way to a better Youniverse.

Namaste my sister Denise Renee. I have enjoyed following your thoughts today. I find the book the secret to represent much of what is wrong with material desire. The focus of the book is to show one how to manifest their reality for the ends of achieving material wealth and comfort.
Our thoughts, feelings and emotions create our reality. This process of manifestation is a function of the divine spark which lies within. Said reflection of God is not a vehicle for material gain, rather it is a constant which allows humanity to embrace the truth of unconditional love.
You speak of blockages which account for the inability to embrace the GodSelf within. I feel the many webs of illusion spun by the ego are the primary obstacles to successful integration of self with the divine. It is only by seeking within that we may begin to see death, birth, space, time, separation and physicality as building blocks of insanity.
When we unite with the reality of oneness and unconditional love we begin to determine our path with grace.
